Current Degree: B.S. Computer Science
Graduated: December 2023
Major GPA: 3.85 / 4.0
Recent graduate with a B.S. in Computer Science at Colorado State University. Previously graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Chemical and Biological Engineering in May 2020. Worked in industry as a Controls Engineer for 1.5 years, mainly working for Pharmaceutical and Water/Wastewater clients. Main tasks included developing software design specifications, developing testing documentation, PLC programming, onsite commissioning, and communicating with the client with questions and answers towards the project. Recent experience working on an existing code base and developing a full-stack webpage for a test automation tool at Visa.
Excited to be taking this next step and eager to learn more towards Software development in order to provide software/applications that benefit customers, perform well, and are easily maintainable

Communication:
Experience with communicating complex ideas with clients, communicating current status on projects internally, and working with interdisciplinary teams of the client, internal team, and contractors.
Team Player:
Experience with working with remote team members and team members in different states with projects staying within budget.
Detail Oriented:
Experience working on large scale projects that require looking at small details during the engineering and development process.
Organized:
Experience working in an environment with multiple projects at the same time and organizing the tasks such that the projects are completed to the customers satisfaction.
CS345 Final Project: Using a Convolutional Neural Network and transfer learning for Melanoma classification on skin lesion images.
Github RepositoryDjango backend that serves webpages and react app and acts as a Restful API. Hosted utilizing Heroku with a custom domain forwarding to heroku app.
Github RepositoryReact app that sends API requests to fastAPI (previously Django) backend RESTful API that sends OAuth2.0 authenticated API requests to Kroger. Provides current store data and can export ordered list
Go To Web App Github RepositoryPersonal website migrated to AWS with a fastAPI backend in a docker container on an AWS EC2 instance. Frontend React app and static webpages are stored in AWS S3 buckets and served via AWS Cloudfront with DNS routing managed via Route 53
Github RepositoryTransformed the FastAPI REST API, previously hosted on an EC2 instance, into a serverless architecture on AWS. This involved refactoring the Python codebase and deploying multiple AWS Lambda functions, seamlessly integrated with an AWS API Gateway.

Worked in a team of Computer, Electrical, and Mechanical engineers on improving and optimizing the Ramskeller Brewery, an $800,000+ educational brewery.
Designed the piping and schematic, chemical dosing, and sized pumps for an automated Clean-in-place (CIP) to improve safety and effectiveness while also keeping the design economical.
Consulted with 5 local breweries, 2 suppliers, 2 pump manufacturers, and 1 control systems integrator to size, design, and automate equipment for the CIP system.
Utilized the Ramskeller P&ID to design solutions for the automated CIP system in AutoCAD.
Determined issues and solutions to improve the current stack condenser in the brewery.
Applied Python and other software to model the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics for drugs and foreign species within the body.
Supervised by Dr. Brad Reisfeld in his Quantitative Systems Pharmacology and Toxicology Research Group (QSPT).
Helped facilitate learning in 2 lab periods of 25+ students and held office hours. Learning assistant for the Introduction to Chemical and Biological Engineering course (CBE 101).
Tasked with managing and performing a summer-long research project on algae growth inhibition from four different water treatment oxidants (Chlorine Dioxide, Sodium Hypochlorite, Hydrogen Peroxide, Silver Bullet Water Treatment gas).
Generated algae disinfection results and a report that will be used for future testing on algae growth inhibition in horticulture applications.
Assisted engineers with testing different Silver Bullet water treatment designs and wrote technical memorandums on the findings of these different designs.
Performed Small R&D projects, acquired data on Silver Bullet clients, and read P&ID's.
